These ladies (and guy?) are in the wrong, but if I lived in their house, and had to share a driveway next door to a guy that does vehicle repair as much as he seems to do, I’d be a bit upset were I not into cars.

Kinja'd!!!

Especially if half my Saturn were covered in primer and he didn’t have a spray booth in that big garage of his.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

EDIT: That’s not the Foulke’s house. The actually own the house and property NEXT to Mr. Williams’.

It’s that far back off the road and they still bitch about it? Wow.

Ever been to Delaware? They’re a half-step better than Rhodeys when it comes to incessantly complaining/running their mouth. Everything demands commentary.

I will guarantee that this who problem started with a small comment about having to always see the garage when they turn into their driveway and when they realized mutual agreement, they just continued the conversation, one-upping each other along the way.

Next thing you know that small comment is a lawsuit because they simply can’t stop trying to out-do the previous comment.

Side Note: My sister lived in Rhode Island for 5 years, I drove up with bikes on the back of my car, parked it in her driveway and checked to make sure the rack was not blocking the sidewalk. It was tight, but not over and it was a very small driveway. A woman walking her dog transfers into the road while walking by and goes, “Your car is too close to the sidewalk.”

“It’s not over it,” I respond.

“But it’s close.”

“It’s not over, though. It’s a small driveway. I’m as forward as I can get and the sidewalk is not obstructed.”

“But it’s close.”

They should have bought a bigger piece of property if they wanted to avoid people’s hobbies. Or put up a fence or line the road with tall shrubs or trees.

At what point does a long driveway just become a road? Three houses? Four?

I can absolutely see what you’re saying. its really a shared driveway, not a street (sorry, a “place”), and all that traffic could really get on one’s nerves.

I can understand the traffic getting on ones nerves, but if my interpretation of the most current article is correct, Ms. Foulke bought the land she built her home on from Mr. Williams. She knew full well (before her purchase, and long before she built) that there would be an easement so that Mr. Williams could access his property. If she wants to be such an uppity pain in the ass, she probably needs to buy a more secluded piece of property, as opposed to a parceled off section of someone else’s land that will have an easement attached.

Shit like this is why I bought a house in the damn woods.

And they aren’t mad about the guys next door that have cars all over their yard but they ARE mad about the guy who spent tons of money to have a nice, orderly place to work.

I should have dug deeper before posting. I read before they shared a driveway, but no, its not her house there. She’s next door and around the back:

I think it depends whether it is privately owned, or if the town owns and maintains the road.
